Chris and Jennifer reside in Ontario Canada with their two children Breanna (10 )and Trevor (9), and their story goes something like this...
The year was 2000 when Chris met Jennifer at the local gym. She was trapped on the leg press machine and Chris was her knight in shining armor who rushed to the rescue.
They have been together ever since and happily married since 2004.
Both Jennifer and Chris come from a sports background. Chris grew up playing all-star soccer, baseball, and hockey, with his number one passion being hockey.
Jennifer played basketball and track and field throughout school, and later tried her hand in fitness competitions when fitness first burst on to the scene in the 90's. Jennifer successfully competed in the Canadian Championships,North American Championships, and Marjo Selin's Invitational Superfitness competition in Maui. Jennifer soon realized fitness competitions were lacking the endurance sport aspect that she craved, and she therefore began to set her sights on triathlon competitions.
Chris eagerly joined Jennifer in triathlon competitions and they competed in small local races. They both very quickly discovered their passion for the sport of triathlon.
It was was 2004 when their young daughter of 17 months was diagnosed with a life threatening illness, and changed the way Jennifer and Chris began to view life. All of this forced them to re-evaluate their dreams and goals.
Through the adversity their family faced, it has led them to the path they are on now. Jennifer and Chris are grateful for their two children who inspire and motivate them everyday to chase their dreams, and live their passions.
Jennifer and Chris can be found taking on triathlon adventures anywhere and everywhere that it leads them, as well as cheering on their IronKids at triathlon races. All of this with a camera in hand, pursuing their other passion which is photography.
